We require a debit card, credit card or pay-pal to hold a spot in any class or to pay in advance on-line. Drop-in attendance is welcome but class size is limited to fifteen participants, therefore we recommend checking our on-line calendar in advance and reserving a spot whenever possible. Payment may also be made in-person before each class begins by debit or credit card. We do not issue refunds for pre-paid classes that are not attended but you can drop in or reserve any other class that has an opening without any additional cost.
If you are more than 5 minutes late for a meditation class, we’re very sorry but we must ask you to not enter the meditation room. If the same class or another class that you are interested in attending is offered immediately afterwards please help yourself to a refreshment while waiting in our reception area or feel free to leave and return for the next class. If not and you already paid for the meditation class you will be able to attend any class (excluding “Special Program” classes) on another day for no additional cost.
When you are in our Mindfulness Room meditation can be done in a chair or seated on yoga blankets, meditation “Back Jack” or cushion.
Many people report feeling relaxed, calm, or peaceful during and after meditation practice. Occasionally, when we unplug from the usual distractions of our busy day, we can sometimes become more aware of anxiety or other unpleasant thoughts and emotions during and after meditating. That is one of the reasons why at our center we have a licensed therapist available for consultation.
