It is theorized that acupuncture’s positive effect on IVF outcomes may be due to its impact in the following ways:

There Are 2 Acupuncture Treatment Plan Options For IVF Cycles
Option 1
If it is at least 4 weeks until your projected week of embryo transfer, we recommend 15 total treatments including the 2 on the day of transfer for an IVF cycle. This option is the strongest and has the best chance of helping to improve full-term pregnancy outcomes and is best for overall stress reduction and general health improvement.
Option 2
If it is less than 4 weeks until your projected week of embryo transfer or finances are tight, we recommend 5 total treatments, including the 2 on the day of transfer. This option will provide the benefits that were demonstrated in the 2003 German study and a little bit more, but will not help as much for stress reduction and will not provide any noticeable general health improvements.
